Allibert is a French manufacturer of bathroom furniture and equipment (furniture, baths, showers, balneotherapy, accessories, etc.).

They sell over 4000 different references under two brands, one distributed in France and Benelux in DIY megastores (Leroy Merlin, Castorama, Praxis, Brico, etc.), the other in the French network of professionals (Richardson, Cedeo…).

The context

Multiplication of tools and dispersal of data

The management of Allibert’s product reference documents was initially shared between an ERP (SAP) centralizing the technical information for factories and 8 CRMs to manage the specific sales and pricing information for each market.

Recurring needs for extraction and adaptation of information for the different circulation channels (websites, distributors, print documents, etc.) resulted in the production of large quantities of Excel files requiring numerous manual adjustments.

Lastly, the large volume of graphic assets (32 000 media) was managed through a simple shared network which did not allow for indexation and search tools.

Centralize, optimize and ensure the reliability of information to improve the time to market and develop E-commerce

To improve the management of its product reference documents and to implement a real omnichannel communication strategy, Allibert launched a project for the implementation of a solution integrating a PIM, a DAM and a tool for generating print documents, to:

  • Organize the product life-cycle
  • Optimize information processing times
  • Reduce manual operations through the automation of recurring tasks

The challenge

Guarantee the consistency of a multi-brand-country-lingual management in the context of PIM/ERP/CRM exchanges

  • Design a model of flexible and scalable data which allows for the management of multi-brand, multi-country and multilingual reference documents
  • Create inter-application exchanges with the ERP and the CRM
  • Replace the traditional print generation tool with an integrated solution directly supplied by the PIM

Implementation

Configuration of connections, design of flows, data import and deployment.
Duration: 4 months

Allibert chose Goaland France for the implementation of the Alpia PIM/Arsia solution and to support their teams through the change management process.

The principal stages of the project:

  • Gathering miscellaneous information from the various existing sources
  • Design and standardization of data models
  • Modelling of data import/export structures
  • Automation of exchanges with the ERP
  • Organization and indexation of the media data base
  • Configuration and automation of print media production
  • Configuration of user profiles and access rights depending on the brands and countries
  • Training of admins and users

The integration of Alpia PIM / Arsia came with the streamlining of tools and processes within the Allibert group, providing the different teams with more autonomy and increased productivity in data management. The integration of a unique, centralized tool has enabled Allibert to serenely implement their transition towards an omnichannel communication strategy and to foresee the construction of their e-commerce offer
